Tamara chose to explore through her artworks how lighting effects the way an individual perceives landscapes. Through this, she wished to delve deeper into how this concept altered the feelings and emotions felt by the viewer.

Tamara has always loved admiring landscapes. She has seen lakes, rivers and bays, kayaked with friends, experiencing landscapes and the environment at all times of the day. The night-time landscape of the Yarra River often lingers in her mind like a beautiful photo and with it all the memories contained.

“The day goes by”

How lighting effects the way we perceive landscapes.

The multiple different acrylic paint colours help to create a calming yet ominous feeling throughout the triptych. The acrylic painted, canvas triptych communicates my topic as it displays a landscape with different lighting portraying different times of day.

“Washed away in time”

How lighting effects the way we perceive landscapes.

The multiple different colours throughout the printed photos, help to create a calming and relaxed feeling. The three printed photos communicate my topic as they are digitally edited to portray different times of day. It displays a landscape with different lighting portraying different times of day, even though it is the same photo each time.
